This is a daily blog. It began as a way to track weight loss progress and force myself to write regularly. The stipulation is I have to write 500 words – not nonsense, though some days we wonder – every day. This exercise in self-discipline began January 1, 2010 and as far as I can tell/remember, it hasn’t been failed yet. The habit is sufficiently ingrown at this point that I slowly am working towards 500 words of fiction, or perhaps some combination of journaling and fiction so that it becomes more useful to me as far as building my craft and helping me write my novel.
